Descendents Announce Re-Release of Classic Album "Enjoy!"
California punk legends Descendents have announced a re-release of their 1986 album "Enjoy!"
California punk legends Descendents have announced a re-release of their 1986 album "Enjoy!", continuing the band’s ongoing campaign to reissue their classic early catalog.
The newly remastered edition was released on April 24, 2026, through Org Music and is available across multiple formats, including vinyl, CD, and cassette. The reissue is part of a larger project that began after the band regained control of their original master recordings and began restoring and reintroducing their early releases for a new generation of listeners.
Originally released in 1986, *Enjoy!* was the Descendents’ third studio album and followed the band’s influential records *Milo Goes to College* and *I Don’t Want to Grow Up*. The album captured the group experimenting with heavier sounds while still maintaining the fast, melodic punk style that helped define the emerging pop-punk and melodic hardcore scenes.
The record features several fan-favorite tracks including “Hürtin’ Crüe,” “Get the Time,” and a punk-infused cover of The Beach Boys’ “Wendy.” At the time of its original release, the album also reflected the band’s trademark humor and irreverence, incorporating playful and often crude lyrical themes alongside energetic performances.
Formed in Manhattan Beach, California in 1977, Descendents became one of the most influential bands in the American hardcore punk scene. With vocalist Milo Aukerman and drummer Bill Stevenson at the center of the group’s identity, the band helped shape the melodic approach that later influenced countless punk and pop-punk acts.
The *Enjoy!* re-release is the latest installment in the band’s catalog restoration series, which aims to bring their classic albums back into print with updated packaging and carefully remastered audio. Additional reissues of other Descendents titles are expected to follow as the campaign continues.
