Western Mass Trio Hedge Drops New Single "Ice Rink"

Western Massachusetts-based pop-punk trio Hedge has released "Ice Rink," the second single from their upcoming EP, Freeze Frame High Five. The track is a sub-two-minute blast of bouncy, 90s-inspired pop-punk that tackles the struggle of balancing adult responsibilities with personal passions.

Guitarist and vocalist Christopher Chaisson describes the song as a "sunny throwback" influenced by bands like Sicko and Fastbacks. He notes that the lyrical hook, "Get out to the ice tonight," serves as shorthand for prioritizing joy and creative pursuits despite the "systemic limitations of capitalism."
